- 2 cups long grain rice
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chicken gizzards, minced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, minced
- 1/2 yellow onion, minced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1 tsp creole seasoning
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp coarse ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse rice and cook it in beef broth until ready.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chicken gizzards.
- Add bell pepper, onion, and spices (garlic, celery seed, Creole, cayenne, and black pepper) to the skillet.
- Add water as needed and stir everything together.
- Combine the rice with the seasoned beef mixture, stirring well.
- Cook until well mixed, and the flavors meld together.
